In the heart of Bradford, King’s Secure Technology, established in 1971, is a leading independent security, fire, and risk management company in the UK. With over 50 years of experience and a diverse client portfolio, they have embarked on an exciting journey to revamp their workspace. The project, initiated after an initial inquiry in Christmas 2022, is set to be completed by October 2023, promising to deliver a revamped canteen, a breakout, and a meeting area for staff and visitors.

The motivation behind this project stems from the need to repurpose a decommissioned kitchen and dining area into a vibrant breakout and meeting space for the staff and visitors. King’s Ltd recognized the importance of creating a space where employees could relax, rejuvenate, and collaborate. To achieve this vision, they collaborated with Manor Interior Solutions.

After a thorough survey of the space available, the team proposed several innovative ideas. One significant suggestion was to replace a solid wall with a glass partition, allowing natural light to flood the area. This transformation not only brightened the space but also created a sense of openness, bridging the gap between different zones.

Key design elements focused on making the space multifunctional and comfortable. Acoustic materials were strategically incorporated to create distinct areas within the breakout zone. These materials, combined with carefully chosen furniture, wall paneling, and a mix of carpet and vinyl flooring, ensure that the space can cater to various needs. Whether it’s a casual meeting, a quick bite, or a moment of relaxation, employees now have an inviting environment to enjoy.

The refurbishment project involved a wide range of services. Furniture selection, flooring, and decoration were meticulously chosen to align with the new design. The introduction of glazed partitions seamlessly divides the reception area from the breakout space while maintaining a sense of openness and airflow. A bespoke vending area was also installed to cater to the staff’s refreshment needs. Furthermore, the entire kitchen area was redesigned and optimized for efficient use.
