Manor Interior Solutions Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)

Introduction

At Manor Interior Solutions, we are dedicated to transforming the construction industry by championing sustainable practices and reducing our carbon footprint. Our Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) outlines the strategic actions we are taking to achieve our sustainability goals and ensure a positive impact on the environment.

Goals and Objectives

Our primary aim is to reduce our carbon footprint by 50% over the next five years. This ambitious target will be achieved through a combination of energy-efficient practices, sustainable material choices, and innovative construction methods. Our specific objectives include:

  1. Enhancing Energy Efficiency: Improving the energy performance of our projects through advanced technologies and systems.
  2. Promoting Sustainable Materials: Increasing the use of recycled, reclaimed, and low-carbon materials in our projects.
  3. Reducing Waste: Implementing waste reduction strategies, including modular construction and prefabrication.
  4. Educating and Training: Investing in continuous education and training for our team on the latest sustainability practices.

Monitoring and Reporting

To ensure we stay on track with our sustainability goals, we will implement a robust monitoring and reporting system. This system will track our progress in reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and increasing the use of sustainable materials. Regular reports will be generated to provide transparency and accountability, both within our organisation and to our clients.

1. Energy Efficiency Initiatives

  • EPC Compliance and Beyond: Ensuring all projects meet and exceed Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) requirements by integrating high-performance insulation, energy-efficient windows, and smart HVAC systems.
  • Renewable Energy Integration: Increasing the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, in our projects to reduce carbon emissions and help clients save on energy costs.

2. Sustainable Material Choices

  • Recycled and Reclaimed Materials: Prioritising the use of recycled and reclaimed materials to reduce the demand for new resources and lower our environmental impact.
  • Low-Carbon Materials: Selecting materials with low embodied energy, such as bamboo and recycled steel, to further minimise our carbon footprint.

3. Waste Reduction Strategies

  • Modular Construction: Adopting modular construction techniques to reduce material waste and improve efficiency. Off-site prefabrication allows for precise construction and minimises on-site waste.
  • Construction Waste Management: Implementing comprehensive waste management plans for all projects to ensure waste is minimised and recycled wherever possible.

4. Team Education and Training

  • Sustainability Training Programmes: Developing and implementing training programmes focused on sustainability to ensure our team is knowledgeable about the latest eco-friendly practices and technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging our team to seek out new ways to enhance sustainability in their work.

Our process

Important milestones
01

Discovery

Initial consultation to determine scope of work, user needs and budgets, this includes a site survey to measure existing conditions of the space, and ultimately determine and understand your desired finish.

02

Design concept

We'll issue preliminary drawings and visuals highlighting scope of work, space plans and overall design direction. Our workshop team will then review initial concepts and solicit any feedback to allow design progression. Next, we'll gain approval of layout design, present furniture options, finishing options and present budget quotations.

03

Design review & approval

Refining the internal layouts and gaining approval for the overall concept. Here we will specify key finishes and materials for buildings and furniture and send a final sign off to design to allow for detailed quotations and review budget pricing to ensure affordability.

04

Quotation

We'll produce detailed quotations for every stage of work along with loose furniture costings. We'll also list all necessary finishes and any necessary details for sign off to develop a programme of works to suit project timelines.

05

Project delivery

This is where we deliver your new space! We undertake any necessary building works, lay carpets, install ceilings, decorate, deliver and install loose and fitted furniture, and gain the final sign-off of the works.

It’s great that we know each other now.
