Manor Interior Solutions for Interroll: Office Refurbishment in Kettering
Customers’ reason for approaching Manor Interior Solutions?
Interroll Limited approached Stephen Diamond, our Sales Director at Manor Interior Solutions, with a clear objective: to double the size of their main office in Kettering and modernize the space while maintaining their unique brand identity. The project aimed to enhance the work environment by expanding the first-floor office area, reallocating the ground-floor meeting room, refurbishing the toilets, updating the building façade, adding new windows for natural light, and installing a new kitchen area for staff breaks. Ensuring the design aligned with Interroll’s brand colour scheme was crucial, creating a cohesive and modern aesthetic throughout the space.
The Idea
Our Head of Design, Steve Beasant, focused on creating a modern, open space filled with natural light, enhanced by new furniture and finishes that reflect Interroll’s brand. The goal was to provide an updated, functional space that would improve the working environment and visually represent the company’s identity. A key part of the design was to future-proof the space with additional electrical floor boxes to accommodate future staff increases. This involved installing sleek, triple-glazed windows for better light and energy efficiency, a new façade with the company’s logo, and functional yet aesthetic interior spaces.
The Project
Spanning five months, the project was meticulously planned to ensure continuity for the office staff. Only during critical phases, such as mezzanine refurbishment and final extension stages, were staff temporarily relocated. Our Project Manager, Steve Brown, ensured health and safety compliance and maintained a safe site as the first phase of work overlapped with employees still working in the office. Site preparation included floor sealing, scaffolding setup, fencing, and necessary safety signage.
Building works involved replacing damaged cladding, cleaning, and repainting surfaces. After securing planning permission we added new openings to enhance natural light for the new office area and installed 11 uPVC A-rated windows with Grey Antisun triple glazing to keep in stile with the colour scheme agreed. External updates included new slatted wall cladding and fencing for both security and style.
Inside, we stripped out old ceiling tiles, partitions, and floor coverings, installing new suspended ceilings and enhanced partitions with updated fire ratings materials. Modern skirting boards, a bespoke kitchen with high-spec Corian worktops, and splashbacks were added. Decoration played a major role in the renovation, with lighting and electrical systems overhauled to include energy-efficient LED lights and new power supplies. We reconfigured the fire alarm system to align with the new layout and added custom designer pendant lights above the staff kitchen area, contributing to the modern ambience.

Flooring upgrades featured Evolution carpet tiles and Camaro LVT floor coverings in wood or stone effect, with floors levelled with latex before laying new coverings for a smooth, durable finish. To enhance office functionality and privacy, we installed glass partitions for offices and meeting rooms. Ventilation, heating, and cooling systems were upgraded with ceiling-mounted air conditioning units and an expanded server room ventilation system.
The washrooms were completely renovated, providing modern, private facilities for men, women, and disabled individuals, equipped with high-quality fixtures and finishes for both functionality and style. Throughout the project, we managed additional requests, including asbestos reporting, drain reconfiguration, and external painting, handling each variation with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality.
